Rob Loe is Runner-Up for the StatSheet A-10 Player of the Week - January 14th, 2013

Andrew Smith from Butler has been selected for StatSheet's A-10 Player of the Week for January 14th. Dyshawn Pierre from Dayton has won StatSheet A-10 Freshman of the Week. And last but certainly not least, Massachusetts's Cady Lalanne has taken StatSheet's A-10 6th Man of the Week. Smith registered great stats in shooting (50%), rebounding (7 per game), and scoring (18.5 pts per game). The Butler senior put these numbers up in wins against St. Joseph's (PA) and Dayton.

Smith totaled 24 points and 10 rebounds in 34 minutes in a 72-66 win against St. Joseph's (PA). In the next game he added 13 points and 4 assists in a 79-73 victory over Dayton.

This is the first StatSheet A-10 Player of the Week award for Andrew Smith. However, he has been named a runner-up once. The runner-up this week is our own Rob Loe. Honorable mention goes to sophomore Anthony Lee from Temple.

StatSheet A-10 Freshman of the Week: Dayton's Dyshawn Pierre

Dyshawn Pierre averaged 34 minutes starting both games for Dayton. In a 74-62 loss to Virginia Commonwealth, Pierre chalked up 8 points and 8 rebounds. Following that in a 79-73 loss to Butler, he led all scoring with a 14 point show and added 3 assists.

This is the first StatSheet A-10 Freshman of the Week honor for Dyshawn Pierre. The runner-up is Semaj Christon from Xavier. Willie Clayton from Charlotte takes honorable mention.

StatSheet A-10 6th Man of the Week: Massachusetts's Cady Lalanne

Cady Lalanne, a 6-9 Sophomore forward/center, averaged 26 minutes over two games for the Minutemen. In a 70-62 loss to Saint Louis, Lalanne took the lead in scoring and rebounding for the Minutemen with 18 and 13 respectively. After that, in a last-minute 77-73 win against Fordham, he racked up 4 points and 11 rebounds.

This is the first StatSheet A-10 6th Man of the Week award for Cady Lalanne. DeMario Mayfield, a sophomore guard from Charlotte, is runner up. Briante Weber, a sophomore guard from Virginia Commonwealth, receives honorable mention. Cody Ellis finished 4th and was the highest ranking 6th man from Saint Louis. Saint Louis players have not yet been named StatSheet A-10 Player of the Week this season.
